In addition to the information provided in the video, Ms. Carranco wanted to pass along this information regarding concerns over P/F district policies: UT understand that districts have set in place different grading policies. When we review applications, we take each students special circumstances into consideration. This is our holistic review process and it will continue to be used for all students.
But to be more direct: We are not going to penalize students in the admissions process for something (like a district's decision to move Pass/Fail, Credit/No Credit, etc.) that is outside of their control and based on a pandemic that we are all grappling with. I will most definitely include this in the video but feel it is an important note to share.
Our deadline to submit SAT and/or ACT scores is December 31st so as of now, we have not made standardized tests optional.
